Elementary schools lie to the east and west of Lorne Park and include Whiteoaks Elementary School, Lorne Park Elementary School, Tecumseh Elementary School and St. Luke Catholic Elementary School. The sole high school is Lorne Park Secondary School.

Public Transportation

Access to MI Way at all possible locations allow for transportation with ease. Commuting in and around the city is a breeze when utilizing public transport systems.


The great and beautiful Tecumseh Creek and Lorne Wood Creek run into several trails and parks such as Lornewood Creek Trail, Richard's Memorial Park, Rhododendron Gardens and Shawnmarr Park. Parks that lie in the northern and western area include Woodeden Park, Whiteoaks Park and Twin Oaks Park. All of which offer a variety of outdoor activities and sports areas.

To the north-west of Lorne Park lies the Benares Historic House; an early 20th century style museum. The Waterfront Trail runs from Lorne Park all the way into the Clarkson area, directly opposite of Lake Ontario. Several scenic areas are situated in and around Lorne Park, each linked by trails and creeks. 

Some of Lorne Park's early 20th century style homes were built in 1950s. Many homes have since been been renovated or rebuilt into luxurious homes or estates. Residential areas feature village style cozy homes, bungalows and semi-detached homes to large sophisticated bungalows, luxury homes, estate homes, water front homes, beautiful single houses, condo townhouse complexes and apartment buildings.
